BF5 Crash issue-Corrupt save files

Every time I launch the game, I get an error saying that a save file is corrupted (Then continues to close down).

"Your save file(s) are corrupt and could not be read by the game, continuing will overwrite the save."

  • Repaired the game multiple times-Gets stuck on preparing at the end of the verifying stage
  • Re-installed origin,
  • Turned off cloud storage.
  • Re-installed Battlefield 5
  • Deleting Origin Cache

Im pulling my hair out at this point, I will take any help at all

@Picachoo2008 When you redid the game did you remove the my documents BFV folder if not try this...

    C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield V

BFV folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BFV is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BFV it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

1- Go to my Documents and remove BFV folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again and play the intro again.
    3-Repair BFV
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BFV.

Do you still need some help with this? Try searching your PC folders for any Battlefield V files that could be lurking in another drive/destination. Double-check your Origin client settings to see where you have your save files going (Under Application Settings).

Try right-clicking the BFV desktop shortcut and run as administrator.

Still getting the error? A random error could be caused by a program conflicting with Origin. Try a clean boot and then immediately launch BFV/Origin as administrator.

Hey thanks for replying. I think I may of found the issue. Turns out that Battlefield isnt downloading the directx folder that should be in the installer file. Any ideas to get that file in there?

When you download and install the game it should prompt you to install the latest version if it detects you don't have it. You would have to manually update your DirectX from Microsoft's website. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/search.aspx?q=directx

Make sure you have the latest Windows Updates for your PC by searching "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar. Attaching a DxDiag to this post is helpful for PC troubleshooting.
