BF5 Deluxe edition buyers screwed by year 2 edition?

I bought the Battlefield 5 Deluxe edition on 26-10-2019. Thinking that whatever update bf5 will get, I will get too. However now the deluxe edition is replaced by the new bf5 year 2 edition and I feel like I am being scammed. Extra content is being added and it's just going to be sold as a new game? How can it be that when I pay for the bf5 deluxe edition, I still won't ge all the content? I feel like people with the deluxe edition should simply get all the year 2 edition content for free. We already payed for the content right?

Also all year 1 content is unlocked in the year 2 edition if I'm not mistaken, why should I have to grind for everything  when people who buy it now get everything instantly?

This is all very confusing and weird for me. Am I missing something here?

    Because people can buy that edition for skins they missed in previous Tides of War Chapters...

    EA / DICE made it right.. Bring back all items from previous ToW and put it into Bundle. Then, it is only players choice if they want buy BFV with skins or not. 🙂

    Year 2 Edition just have all previous Tides of War items so there is nothing better about it if you just want to play the game..

    Also when Deluxe Edition was available to pre-order or purchasable, you already know what it include so it was only your choice if you want Deluxe Edition.. So now you can't want more. 😉

    @lukaskrab I exactly had the same thoughts when noticed the new quite expensive release. For myself luckily have all TOW if I'm correct, and the guys who bought it got the rewards duplicate as a bug..... Think it should have then just brought as a pack to buy with Battlefield coins. - Give new buyers a nice discount like we had with 10 free outfits and 5 new weapons pre released on BF1..
