Death from above + jack of all trades glitched out. Im not receiving my trophies on bf5.
I would hold off on playing for right now. Wait for the patch, or you could play until you know you’ve reached the XP and stop. It should unlock retroactively.
I have been having trouble with the Death from Above trophy on PS4 for 3 weeks now. I have gotten 12 kills and have recorded 10 of the 12 on video to show that it says stationary weapon destroyed +100 with a red gear icon and the white skull next to it. I looked online and didn't really see anyone having an issue with this til like a week ago on a xbox website. So I did more searching and talked to some people on EA support page. I put in a support ticket and it says something about getting to chat with a representative but it never loaded into that or connected me with a rep. So after about a week of monitoring the status of my case and it saying "in progress" it now says its "resolved" and closed. So I saw we got a new update this past Tuesday and people are thinking its solved but I think not. I went ahead and decided to get some kills in. Knocked out 4 kills in one match of conquest 2 nights ago and last night I got 2 more all of which I recorded on video on PS4 to test of its working and nope no trophy. Very disappointing I might add. So that resolution did not fix the Death from Above trophy issue. I will write up another ticket at EA support in hopes of eventually getting to chat with a rep. I'm definitely not happy about wasting time waiting for a plane to finally get one then get shot down may times over to eventually get lucky when someone jumps on a AA to which if I line it up right I get the kill and the trophy doesn't pop. Its funny I have never really cared much for the vehicles in BF games I'm more of a on the ground up close and personal style of player. But now all I do is fly planes anymore in this game to get this trophy.. sigh
I will mention I did the first 12 kills with the Blenheim not upgraded using the 4 500 kg bombs. I think that's the correct stats for the aircraft. Now that all I have been doing is flying and with a little help from another player from another forum I have gotten my plane upgraded almost to the 1000 kg bomb by being a one man bomber and defender of my plane. Quick way to rank up the plane is to do the bombing runs hitting targets (people, tanks, lucky fortification hits, etc) and if an enemy plane gets on your tail firing at you, straighten out your plane and switch to the bottom gunner and shoot the hell out of the enemy plane to which you will gain some serious EXP and will rank up the plane rather quickly. If you got enough damage on the enemy they will break away from the assault so you can quickly switch back to piloting the plane and repair your plane.
I sure hope there is a fix in progress so that I can get this trophy and retire my piloting skills and get back on the front lines getting my hands dirty again 🙂

Just after posting this I went to EA support page and made a case. This time I got to talk to an awesome representative and in the end they sent me here to report the issue. I did not realize this forum is the bug report official EA forum. So this post should be a efficient report of the ongoing issue with the Death from Above trophy. "Death from Above" trophy has to be glitched. Definitely more than five kills and destroyed manned stationary weapons, it's the last trophy I need to get the platinum. Never been a fly-boy in any Battlefield, but I did it just to get that trophy! All that time wasted for nothing. Pretty pissed off.
But I received my "newbie badge" straight away for joining Answers HQ... Woopedy-freakin-doo!
And the only "answers/replies" are pointing the finger back at the player. Just put your hand up, take responsibility, apologise, and fix it. Or at least say "we will look into it"!

I would make a montage of your videos and post it on youtube. That was the first place I went to get tips... Not to bad mouth the game, but so other trophy hunters know that there is a glitch, and not to waste their time.
That's juste a real shame from Ea...
Try to get all 5 in one go, if that does not help, then seriously trophies are disabled on purpose and it is enabled to some percentage of players(for each trophy), because i got that "Death from above" trophy but could not get "Eager Beaver" (150k player score), and Im rank 17 :D how is that possible to work on certain trophies..
Otherwise Dice and EA don't give a f*** about their main functionality that should work from day 1. But we need to still spam the reports, so they might pay some attention.
Profile(in menu) shows accurate statistics, that means the data is already registered. When you achieve a rank and see it on your screen, that means data already was sent to account backend and back at your screen.
As EA_Blueberry mentioned: We're not able to grant trophies from our end as that is a PlayStation feature.
It should register every kill (requirement for trophy) and after summing all 5, event is sent to PlayStation.
This so called "glitch" probably the event for achievement that is not sent to PlayStation. And its 100% not PlayStation problem not to register the event if it was sent...
The achievements/trophies were definitely unlockable over multiple games pre-update, and as somebody mentioned previously something similar occurred in BF1 and was fixed to retroactively award after a patch.
I did get 'Hoist the Flag' the other day. I had 8 flags from Frontlines before the update and game mode were removed, I then played a round of Frontlines when it was featured in Tides of War the other day and the achievement unlocked after 2 captures. So it isn't like everything is broken, and perhaps is affecting different players to varying degrees.
