BFV will not start from Steam since Anti Cheat update

I purchased BFV via steam and since you switched to the EAAC it will not start the game. It gets to EA app 'preparing game', EAAC asks me to install, then it ends up back at steam 'validating game',...

same issue, have tried everything, reinstalling both apps, reinstalling game, validating, clearing caches, running literally everything as administrator. i have spoken to tech support multiple times. When i launch through steam it appears to be an issue with anti-cheat, as that is the step before validating
