@ProfesorVoland It should not ask for a CD key. Can you uninstall Battlefield V on Steam and install it agen start Battlefield V it should install EA app.

@ProfesorVoland try this step in steam
1 Go to your games Library
2 Right click on the game you have bought click manage
3 You should see Cd Keys
If you do see CD Keys that is what you will need to activate the game
