Same here on Xbox. Can't unlock specializations between matches, and weapon level seems to reset after exiting a match. See video for more clarity.

This is happening to me for everything. Xbox one. I cant level up anything. I leveled up a plane to 4 but it went back to 3. I even leveled up to chapter rank 37 from the tides of war challenges, and it went back. Now the experience from the challenges is used up and I cant get that xp back. This is ridiculous I cant even play the game like this if I literally can't progress anything at all. This is the biggest most game breaking bug this game has ever had.

It's a similar situation for me as well. The MG42 will not record any level past one.I also realised my coins can't be spent on any specialization for it.Platform is PC.

Same thing on my end as well. I'd noticed somethings as well when I was running around with it too:

1. My recon class as well as my career rank gets demoted my 1 level (Recon: rank 20 - rank 19 // Career: rank 50 - rank 49) when running around with the Boys AT Rifle.

2. The Boys AT Rifle will rank up in-game but rolls back to rank 0 with only a small amount of exp given when I leave to the main menu.

3. When finishing a round of conquest, what ever rank you have on the AT Rifle at the time will remain but you cannot purchase specializations in the loadout at the start of the new round.

Yep exactly, I also randomly get the reached rank 50 notice as well while carrying the AT rifle.

Also, if I go to weapon statistics it has stopped recording any more stats.

After the May 23 patch I've played a number of games to try to upgrade my Medic EMP from level 3 to level 4 (I am a relatively new player, hence the low levels). I have played games wherein I have leveled the gun to level 4 (as shown in the accomplishments messages after the match ends) at least three times (that I know of, I might have missed some).
After the first two games, I quit to go to my weapons management on my Medic, but when I got there, the gun was still level 3, and I could not purchase the last upgrade.
After the third time, I stayed in the matchmaking, choosing continue instead of quit, and went to upgrade my weapon in between matches. Now I could purchase and unlock the last weapon specialization. However, when I eventually quit playing and went back to my character, the weapon had yet again reverted to level 3. Unfortunately, I did not check my CC balance, so I am not sure if the payed amount for the last specialization (CC 750, I believe), had also been returned or not.
I have restarted my game several times, but the weapon is still on level 3.
I am in the EU region, and the time frame in which the problem occured should be somewhere around 16:00 - 18:00 CEST, or thereabouts.

I'm playing on xbox one and have had this issue too except with the Selbstlader 1916. It's stuck at level 2 and will always reset to 2818 experience points after a game. Same issue with going down a rank to 49 and then back up to 50. Not sure if the Boys AT rifle is like this, just unlocked it so we'll see

Got this problem on PS4 to, only used the boys and pistol so don't know if it's everything. But no stats and spec/rank resets while the cosmetics stay for the boys.
