Cant connect to EA servers BF5

I am getting the same error as everyone else (search this error message, there are dozens of topics).  "You have lost connection to the EA servers" on boot of the game.  No amount of try agains fixes it.

Yes I have tried the EA connectivity guide.  Yes I have tried everything that's been posted online and suggested on this board.  I've even gone as far as disable my firewall entirely and port forward the ports suggested here: https://www.purevpn.com/port-forwarding/battlefield-v.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game.  Flushed my DNS cache, netsock resets, adapter troubleshooting etc.

Nothing has fixed this issue.

  • Hey @samh779 We're not able to make cases for you in order to reach out to our support team due to a few different reasons.

To create one Go to help.ea.com | and sign in to your account if possible on the top-right if possible.

Then select the "Contact Us" option at the top, for your case information select:

Battlefield 5 | PC | Manage my account | Find missing game

This should take you to a screen to select a contact method based on what is currently available. on this screen add what the issue is, steps you've tried so far, then click to get a call/start chat, etc depending on what you select.

In addition, steps you can try while waiting to speak with them are:

    • Allow the game to run as an admin
    • Ensure the game and client are not being stopped by an Anti-virus or Firewall
    • Close other running applications and other anti-cheats, or put your device in a Clean Boot then try
    • Try switching how you connect to your network (go from wifi to ethernet), or try a different network if possible
    • Check your router/modem settings for anything that might handle or block network traffic

@samh779 To confirm do play through Origin, Steam, EA App? We've seen some reports of not seeing certain games available that should not be fixed.

@EA_IlliumOrigin. The issue isn't not seeing the game available. The issue is as soon as I boot BF5, I get the message "You have lost connection to the EA servers"

Hey @samh779 To check do you play through an EA Play sub, or should you own the game outright? We might be facing an account issue that our support would need to look at.

@samh779 It could be an entitlement issue, I would reach out to our support to look into your account. Let us know what they say.

@EA_Illium Can you open a case for me or something? I don't know how to reach out to support, "creating a support ticket" always leads to these forums or to a standard help document. (This is the reason I created this topic in the first place)
