Can't get past intro on brand new Xbox One and BF5

I have a brand new Xbox one and got BF 5 with it. I started the "install" from the disc and once it got to "ready to play" started it up. It played the intro scenes and I play the few intro missions. Once completed I set my video settings and difficulty then it just started all over again. It's done this 3 times. How can I skip this *?

  • Hey @BoxMaster10,

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Delete Save Data - This will erase your Single Player Saves, but will not affect Mutliplayer

    2. Clear MAC Address - Go to Settings, Network, Advanced Settings, Alternate MAC Address, Clear. Do a hard reset on your Console after this.

    3. Uninstall/Reinstall Battlefield V - Do this last if nothing else works.

Let us know if this helps.

    Thanks 🙂

@BoxMaster10 At this point I'd try doing a hard reset of your Xbox by holding the power button until the console shuts down. This will clear the system cache and potentially solve the issue.  You'll know it was successful because when you power the Xbox back on it'll go through the long bootup process, then simply log in and start BF5. You may have to go through the BF5 steps that you've been through already but hopefully that will be the last time.

I let all updates finish installing, deleted saved data for the game and rebooted the console. That seems to have solved it. Thanks
