I totally get the appeal with mods as they can bring some interesting things to games (I had good fun with ones for Fallout 4, Dawn of War, and a few other games in the past). However, as modding EA games technically breaches the Terms of Service it's very unlikely that they'd be supported.
It's the clause that states:
- When you access or use an EA Service, you agree that you will not: Modify any file or any other part of the EA Service that EA does not specifically authorize you to modify.

That's not to say that things won't change in the future, I just don't think it's likely that it'd be authorised for a multiplayer title.
