crashes when starting Battlefield V
I’m trying to play Battlefield V and/or Battlefield 2042, but after a while the screen freezes, and the only solution is to restart my PC using the power button. My PC easily meets and exceeds the requirements for these games. I’ve already tried everything — enabling secure boot, updating my graphics card drivers, updating Visual C++, changing the EA App overlay settings as suggested in forums, and running the EA App as administrator — but none of that worked. I really need help since I bought a 1-year subscription and haven’t been able to use it for the past 3 months.☹️12Views0likes1CommentHear me out
It’d be awesome if Battlefield added skins or operators based on real historical soldiers, not just fictional ones. People who were actual legends. Like — Simo Häyhä, “The White Death,” a sniper who took out hundreds in the snow. Desmond Doss, the medic from Hacksaw Ridge who saved dozens without even carrying a weapon. Audie Murphy, one of the most decorated WWII soldiers ever. Lyudmila Pavlichenko, “Lady Death,” a sniper with over 300 confirmed kills. Carlos Hathcock, the Marine sniper who changed modern sniping. They could be tribute skins, special events, or just unlockable history packs. Battlefield’s always been about realism and respect for the people who actually lived it — this would be a perfect way to honor that.Solved20Views0likes1CommentBattlefield 5 Slow Startup and Long Loading Time
Update (Edited: 06-08-2025): Even BF6's open beta loads fine on the same PC—just 50 seconds from clicking "Play" to reaching the main menu. Update (Edited: 30-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. Original Post: For EA Staff & Devs Bug Report ID: 6ad91d36-9f32-4e49-98f0-e1c42c510896 Help Case ID: #215668482 I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 Seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Ran both the EA App and BF5 with administrator privilege and in offline + clean boot. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date. Performed a reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; cleared DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" in-place upgrade. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. For reference (especially if any DICE developers are reading this), here’s the BIOS update I installed: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/model/2101129710/swItemId/ob-348379-1 I’ve also attached my DxDiag file to this post in case it’s helpful.1.8KViews6likes8Commentscannot open a map during campaign game. pls help
Hi, I've got a problem with the game on my PC. I cannot open a map when I play campaign in my BF 5. When I press 'M', nothing is happening. I've tried to change a keybind to other but it doesn't work too. Has any of you had such a problem? I would be grateful for a solution..🙏33Views0likes3CommentsHigh Latency
Hello guys. In the BF6 Beta that launched months ago, I had my problems with the game because I got rubberbanding problems in all matches. I asked in several streams if someone has the same issue like me but I got no response. Today I wanted to play BF V after a long time, I got even there rubberbanding. I tried so much to find a fix. PC is connected via Lan to the router On my router I set my PC to exposed Host, I tried to use the lowest settings ingame, even on 1080p. (I usually play in 2K resolution and 240 Hz on Ultra) Nvidia control panel: low latency mode is on Ultra. Gsync is on ingame vsync is off tried with dx12 and dx11 (with future frame on and off) Onedrive is deinstalled tried with windows game mode on and off gave the game admin rights The game itself runs perfectly. But if I join the battlefield, and start running, I got a rubberbanding. Its on every server (playing on german servers because I'm living there) everything on my pc is on latest update (GPU, BIOS, Chipset driver) I dont know what to do now.
