Battlefield V deserves more content
I understand that the game is no longer being supported by EA, let alone shown any proper support. And I think they should at least reconsider and give Battlefield V a second chance. Let's start with the basics, I've seen several videos and many of the videos that talk about Battlefield 2042 are the same, the absence of fluidity and consistency in the basics of the game, an example, in BFV it is visible to know when a kill has actually been made on the enemy, it already leaves something guaranteed, in 2042 it presents an absence of this or it is a VERY small and almost imperceptible detail. The "complex" part is the fact that Battlefield V had a troubled start due to the fact that it made extreme historical flaws or even tried to add some things to be "inclusive", but the fact is that it backfired and damaged the start of the game, a detail was the fact that some developers or even members of EA or DICE who have a degree of relevance for communicating with the public, decided to respond to criticism in the worst possible way and further damaged the image of the game. A failure to include a female combatant in the game, in a WWII setting, is what has upset some players too much (I have nothing against it, but within the setting, I thought it was unnecessary), some of the game's elites may have helped in some way, either positively or negatively, an example is the elite character who is a woman, BUT she is from the French resistance, in which there really were women combatants in WWII, from the resistance, and not as standard army soldiers on the front lines, if history is not the strong suit of some people, women worked more as nurses and mechanics, far from the fronts. This would be easily fixed if they at least reconsidered these small flaws and holes within the historical part of the war, because some players (the vast majority) notice when historical inaccuracies occur, Battlefield 1 was a fine example of a game that was totally immersed in the history of the first world war, and why did they decide to make such bad choices with Battlefield V? Now comes the boring part, glitches and bugs, the main bug that has been known is the ABUSIVE use of the flawed mechanics of a newly placed weapon, which are the anti-matter rifles, in which when using the hawkins bomb (demolition grenade) and when you pick it up again , but without releasing the button that interacts with the bomb, the anti-matter rifles become semi-automatic with an extremely high rate of fire, literally a spam, becoming the favorite weapon of tank destroyers and abusers (obtaining very high kill counts thanks to the bug), now for the visual glitch, the characters sometimes don't render and become almost like modeling clay, becoming freaks (so ugly they are) and even becoming an internal meme because of this, even when combat against an enemy is involved, their character doesn't render, or even some mounted weapons, both vehicles and stationary, don't render, becoming weapons with graphics similar to their former games, such as "Medal of Honor" and "Medal of Honor Underground" (for PS1). And to finish, the question of content, within some files of the game, thanks to the players who explore every detail of the files, it was in mind that the game has cosmetics that are part of the Russian faction of the game the, USSR, but it was never implemented the campaign in Europe going towards Russia, or known as Ostheer, Ostheer was the "eastern front", and what annoys me is the fact that you decided to cancel support for the game with an excuse, without wanting to sound rude, a PATHETIC excuse saying that the game did not meet sales expectations, blaming marketing, is it because it was not the terrible decisions coming from you or even pure incompetence? Seriously, I was surprised every time I looked at some cosmetic in the game, especially on the German side, which had something totally to do with real divisions that existed and that I didn't know about, like the Volksturm (with no cosmetics that refer to them unfortunately) or even something I didn't expect, which was the "werwolf" cosmetic that was about a "resistance division of the SS" that acted as saboteurs even after the end of the war, but in the end they were classified as terrorists since the war was already over, and the biggest disrespect that was shown was to add items that had very significant connections to the war on the Russian front, like the mosin nagant that was modified to be a hand mortar, and some helmets that are part of or have connections to the Russian side.Even not adding more locations where battles took place, such as the Battle of the Bulge, the Battle of Okinawa, the Normandy Beach Invasion (D-Day), the Battle of Stalingrad, how can you put on a WWII game without mentioning one of the most important moments that helped change the course of the war, which was D-Day, or even the Battle of Stalingrad?! I, as a player who LOVES Battlefield, believe that you should give the game, Battlefield V, a second chance, give the game the true potential that it hasn't really been given, if for you, EA or DICE employees it doesn't sound like something important, remember that Battlefield V still has more active players than your most current game, remove the female characters (except for the elites who have some connection to the history of the second war or some fidelity to what really happened), fixing the bugs, and adding new things would already give the game a new look, even bringing back the old character editing system (because people loved it when they could leave their favorite faction as the background in the main menu, which was removed for no reason), the marketing of the game at the beginning was horrible and really had a negative impact, along with unprofessional responses to criticism, and the unnecessary focus on battle royale mode (which so far I haven't found anyone who plays it), think about it. ... and if the game had had the same first trailer as when they announced the Pacific War chapter, do you think they wouldn't have done better? So that's my point of view...it's a mixture of venting and a request, even though I'm not important, a lot of people think the same way....read this, everyone, regardless of being from EA or DICE, being affiliated with it or anything like that, and think...is it fair to let a game with such great potential die, because of bad decisions or even pure greed? That's what I think... Battlefield V deserves to be able to show its true potential, which is now hidden, waiting to be unearthed.Solved27Views0likes2CommentsEA fix your servers!
How many times lately I have joined a lobby, played one map and the server failed to load the next map and crashed! Also the cheater problem hasn't gone anywhere after your alleged anti-cheat update! Not to mention the server matchmaking, where it is somehow possible to play 8vs32 and the game doesn't do anything about it. Or lobbies where all the 500 level high k/d players are somehow randomly put in the same team against bunch of players that have just only started to get a hang of how the game is played. It is getting harder to trust you guys are going to do a better job on Battlefield 6 if this is how you treat one of the best games you've made with an active and passionate player base still to this day.Solved140Views0likes4CommentsNewest EA anti cheat Javelin causing more headache than EAC EA Anti Cheat
Previously with EAC EA Anti cheat, you could just manually update, allowing Windows Defender to exclude file checking and turning Power Plan to Balanced, in-game problem usually gone or kept at minimum. Now with their latest toy, Battlefield V is almost unplayable, constantly crashing every minute, causing micro stutter and spawning bugs. Oh and not to mention breaking any other device driver. I wonder if this is their way of turning people away from the old games as new installment launch is imminent. There's old adage, A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and There is no such thing as perfect security, only varying levels of insecurity. To sum it up, making anti cheat more hostile is only driving your fan base away, fast response and tough firm decision to ban all cheater are still best way.830Views1like6CommentsBF5 on Windows 10, Steam - Keep getting disconnected from EA Servers
Hey all. I bought BF5 over the Steam Summer Sale and have found some servers I like. The problem is I keep getting disconnected from EA's servers in the middle of playing. I checked my EA account and it has my region (Canada) as correct, so I'm not sure what's causing this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :)61Views0likes1CommentNever got my Mastery Assignments for Assault and Recon class
Hello, I’ve recently reached Rank 20 with both the Assault and Recon classes in Battlefield V, but the Mastery I–III assignments have not appeared in my Assignments tab. I’ve already: Completed the Proficiency assignments for both classes Restarted the game multiple times Played full multiplayer matches afterward Unfortunately, the Mastery assignments are still missing. Could you please check my account and help enable them manually if possible? Thank you in advance for your support! Kind regards, TarasSolved61Views0likes1CommentBattlefield 5 Slow Startup and Long Loading Time
Update (Edited: 12-07-2025): Performed a clean reinstall of Windows 11 and the game still takes over two minutes to load. I’ve attached a screen recording to this forum post showing the problem, including an on-screen stopwatch and Task Manager for reference. A friend of mine with a different setup is experiencing the same issue. I suspect the problem is related to the anti-cheat or the game itself. Original Post: TL;DR: After some BIOS and Windows updates, BF5 now takes 3 minutes to launch on my HP Omen 16 laptop. Once in-game, the maps load slowly, but no other noticeable issue are found. I recently updated the BIOS and Windows on my Omen 16 laptop. Everything seemed to be running smoothly—until I noticed that launching BF5 now takes significantly longer than it used to. Only BF5 is affected, I timed it with a stopwatch and the startup consistently takes around 2.5 minutes. The other games' load time from pressing play till it enters full-screen are: BF3 = 12 seconds BF4 = 16 Seconds BF1 = 40 Seconds Issue description: After clicking Play in the EA App, the EA Anti-Cheat launches and initializes normally. Once the Anti-Cheat finishes, there's a 30-33 second delay before the game window appears. The game remains in small window and shows a black screen for another 50-60 seconds. Eventually, the game maximizes into a full-screen window and loads the title screen. Once fully open, the game runs fine, except it loads map extremely slowly as well. Here's what I've tried so far: Repaired, reinstalled, and cleared the cache for both the EA App and BF5. Confirmed that Windows and NVIDIA drivers are fully up to date. Ran both the EA App and BF5 as administrator and also tried launching them in clean boot mode. Ran both the EA App and BF5 on a different SSD, ensure SSD firmware are up to date Performed a clean reinstall of the NVIDIA driver using DDU; also cleared the DirectX and NVIDIA GL caches. Reinstalled Windows using the "Fix problems with Windows Update" option in Windows 11. Reset BIOS to default settings, did a CMOS reset too. Unfortunately, none of these steps have resolved the issue, and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d appreciate any tips or suggestions. For reference (especially if any DICE developers are reading this), here’s the BIOS and Windows update I installed, not sure which is causing the trouble: https://support.hp.com/nz-en/drivers/swdetails/omen-by-hp-16.1-inch-gaming-laptop-16-k0000/model/2101129710/swItemId/ob-348379-1 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/june-26-2025-kb5060829-os-build-26100-4484-preview-e31ba7c2-ff65-4863-a462-a66e30840b1a I’ve also attached my DxDiag file to this post in case it’s helpful.360Views0likes1CommentAnyone solve for missing war stories letters since the change from Origin to EA?
Hey all, Been playing BFV since it was new, but decided to stop farting around and solve all the challenges and collect all the letters for the War Stories. I have all letters save for 3, (1 Nordlys and 2 Tirallieur). I have collected them, and as such the locations no longer spawn the letter. However all teh workarounds are from when the Origin app was in use. The directory structure for the game and associated settings for cloud vs local saves are no longer applicable. Anybody else know how to resolve this for PC in 2025? Thanks peeps74Views0likes4Comments
