I was online with EA chat Saturday morning and he sent me a list of the following steps to resolve it. The very first one entailed; "In Origin/EA app, right click Battlefield V-Game Properties-Cloud Saves-Turn Off." Well, when I go to the BF5 icon I click the 3 little black dots in the upper right corner of the icon, and the drop down menu has Game Properties but within that there is no "Cloud Saves". The next step involved moving Documents/Battlefield V/Settings folder to the desktop then launching the game. It will regnerate fresh settings and start from intro. Replay the affected War Story (choose Easy for speed). Complete the mission again. Once done, quit the game, delete the new settings folder and restore your old one. Re-enable cloud saves. (This forces a resync and usually clears the stuck state.)
Without being able to locate Cloud Saves to turn off, I didn't bother with the rest. 😣
