Same issue here,
Big setup : Amd threadripper 2950X / Zotac 2080ti amp / 32Go RAm Gskill 3000MHz
I don't understand, after 10-15 minutes of play the computer crashes and stops altogether suddenly...Can't reboot without turning off the mainswitch
PC is brand new.
I've tried everything...
I get a livekernel error as well but hard to know what is wrong.
I also uninstalled Geforce experience, no change.
Tried the memory leakage solution, nothing.
Uninstalled reinstalled no change
Deactivated Origin in game
Even tried this :
"1) Go To Windows Search 2) Search Regedit 3) Right click and select run as administrator 4) Opne HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE 5) Open SYSTEM 6) Open CurrentControlSet 7) Open Control 8) Click GraphicsDrivers 9) Right Click And Select New In Windows Registry 10) Select DWORD (32-bit) Value 11) Type TdrLevel (Write it exactly T and L should be capital) 12) Double click on TdrLevel 13) Make sure value data is 0 14) Now restart your pc Done! problem solved dxgi error device removed FIXED
This is the explaination of what it does:
Briefly with Frostbite sometimes Windows does not detect NVIDIA drivers responding and make your game crash. Disabling the recovery mode solves it.
Best regards.
If it's not your hardware I guarantee you this will definetely work. You won't experience crashes anymore. If it's your hardware you will experience hard crash in stead of DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED. For me, it was not my hardware (only games crashing Battlefield V and Fifa 2019).
Regards."
No change either, constantly crashes.
Windows 1809 obviously.
Uninstalled mystic Lights
What can happen after 10-15 minutes?
This is crazy as * , EA get it sorted!

Had DXR on ultra, tried removing it, crashed after 5 minutes
- 7 years ago
So after one hour roughly no crash...
If this helps anyone, I've had to download Zotac Firestorm, to be able to remove the manufacturer's default OC. Went down to 1350Mhz (base clock)... I'll test some more, but seems good enough for everything in Ultra DXR and all...
To EA CM : This is not normal, we shouldn't have to do all this... - 7 years agoSomebody got the problem, that BF5 minimaze by it self? A lot of times.. IN game, in main menu. And then switching to windowed mode.
Ok, after the latest patch my crashes disappeared. I had nothing OCed before (apart from the CPU) and still have the CPU running with an OC. The memory was running default speed before, I raised the voltage slightly althouth I will undo that, I am sure this does not make a difference. I installed the latest nvidia driver and that "could" make a difference.
Interesting thing: The game now and then shortly freezes for a less than a second, but without crashing. Before such a freeze meant the game closed itself and crashed. I think that either nvidia or EA fixed something.
Did anyone who has crashing download the latest Nvidia drivers - release on 3rd of december?
I was able to play around 10h now without a single crash....just freezes now and then (which did not result in a crash).

Freeyaeco if your regedit works - i might paypal you some cash! i will virtually kiss you somehow someway .

As you can read in his post it did NOT work.
SO....
- 7 years agoI was hoping today's patch would fix the crashes, but nope. I paid $80 for this and can't even unlock the first weapon. Time to get an Xbox and play call of duty. Cheaper and easier than this stuff!

Community Managers - Can you give us some form of timeline of when we expect a solution on this? At least can this issue be acknowledged in the official known issues list?

"Going back to defaults on everything is a starter. Un-installing the games and Orign client and clearing the registry is a must.
Then re-install everything and leave it all at default settings - Attempt to play the game, if it runs OK then do tweaks and adjustments."

The simplest solution is to make sure ALL your software is up to date: Windows, BIOS, GPU, Sound etc.
Remove all Origin related software and games. Do a sfc /scannow (overkill but you never know)
Re-install Origin, re-install Battlefield V. Every persons PC environment is different but as long as you have everything installed correctly (defaults, not overclocked etc) and up-to-date, you should be able to play.
Normally the problem is down to something overlooked.
Good luck!

I think some things were indeed changed in the last 2 patches / nvidia driver updates.
My nvidia access violations are gone, I was able to play around 7h now and had 1 single crash - a 0xc000005 access violation pointing to BF5.exe.
So, yes, nvidia drivers no longer seem to crash....BF5 still seems to crash. I can rule out hardware and software by now because I play on a blank machine.
As many others pointed out, this has to do with the game and it´s a rather bad sign. I know that some problems here could be caused by hardware or software, causing the BF5 to crash, but most likely it is not.
Access violations are very hard to debug and as long as we can not debug the pre-compiled code most of what we report here is useless. EA would have to get the hardware from us or write a tool that logs and debugs the game while we have it running....
I presume that no EA representative will help us here (apart from standard texts) and the problem will either exist forver or be eventually solved by some patch.

Confirming that with last patch + latest nVidia drivers I get way less crashes.
Earlier, it would crash multiple times in the day, now it crashes once every while.

This is really starting to get on my nerves.
