Hey all,
We're all gamers over here ourselves and know crashes are not fun. While this has been forwarded to the team we want to still make sure that users are looking into the potential solutions offered in these threads so you can get into the game and start to enjoy it. If you visit the Battlefield V board and search "crash" there are a lot of solutions popping up that might work for you. Everyone has different PC setups so there won't be a one solution for all. You'll have to see what sticks for your rig. Search "crash" in the search bar at the top HERE
There are some solutions provided in this thread though. Here is what's been working for some.
@Bolly_AU "I turned on Video > Advanced > GPU Memory Restriction yesterday morning after my crash and haven't had a crash since."
@IamAlfredo "I did a clean sweep of my graphics driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), restarted my pc, reinstalled Nvidia drivers and haven't experienced a crash yet. I'll update if crash comes back."
@H1_L_Mann "In guess "windowed borderless"-setting was the solution in my case. Good luck!"
@Peh1984 "/user/"your username"/ documents/
look in the documents folder for something that looks like a BF 5 trails folder and delete it. That folder contains your configuration for BF 5.
In another thread, I saw that this lead to a fix."
@V--FENRIR--V "Someone in another thread is saying that disabling XMP memory profiles in their BIOS is finding them able to play." https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Keep-crashing-with-no-error-after-about-5-20-mins-BFV/m-p...
@RRRodgA "So I've managed to correct my crashing (so far at least) now that I've disabled DOCP RAM settings for my Ryzen setup 🙂 This is essentially XMP for Intel setups.
I managed to play a 30 minute game of Breakthrough without an issue and although it's annoying having to turn off a specific RAM profile it seems to have fixed things for me. Could give that a try."
@Dek4-Dk "I just want to confirm that disabling XMP and using "auto" profile ram in bios has fixed the problem.
I hope EA fix that, i never had any problem before that mini patch that loaded in game screen.
i tryed everything before, even reinstalled windows. Disable XMP fixed it"
@makkenikkinpo "Disable Win10 Game Mode. At least this worked for me"
Be sure to check out this helpful thread too. It's important you have the latest Windows update. https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/162109/dxr-how-to-enable-on-pc-known-issues
