I can confirm this happening as well with Xbox One X. I just installed the game today and this is happening to me as well. So this bug is happening, no matter the platform.
I can't even continue the game since it will just kick me back to menu.

Community AdminI know it's not ideal, but are you able to complete the War Story by starting it over to get through it? Was there any sort of power outage at the time when you played it before this started to happen? Sorry to hear it's booting you back to the menu, I know that War Story does take some time to get through.
@EA_Blueberry Okay. After restarting the mission all works now. But Jesus effing Christ. FIX. THE. DAMN. AI.
The AI is literally cheating. I was behind a rock, AI saw me. I threw a knife in to the enemy, his pal did a 180 and started shooting 0.5 seconds later. Burned down stuff, got instantly spotted by unknown solder from where there was no way on earth to be seen.
