Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? All of them
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Everyday following the May 23rd patch
Summarize your bug When you are aiming down the sight of a gun, switching fire modes will automatically take you out of ADS
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use any weapon that has more than one fire mode, aim down the sight, and press the key that switches fire modes
What happens when the bug occurs? The gun will instantly return to hip-fire mode (without pressing right-click to stop ADSing) with an extremely fast, choppy animation.
What should be happening instead? The gun should stay aimed-down-sight when switching fire modes
I'm unsure if this change was intentional in the May 23rd patch, but it was not mentioned in the patch notes, and prior to the patch, changing fire modes while ADS did NOT take you out of ADS.
Here is a video that shows a gun changing fire-mode while ADS BEFORE the patch, in which the gun remains ADS. Occurs at about 31 seconds, you can see the fire mode being changed in the bottom right: https://youtu.be/M-2sgRG_hrw?t=30
Here is a video that shows the same situation AFTER the patch, in which the gun automatically gets put out of ADS by changing fire mode and WITHOUT pressing right click to zoom out: https://youtu.be/M1ntRVdhJWU
When it goes out of ADS automatically by changing fire modes, the animation is basically instantaneous. At least with the naked eye, the regular animation you get by pressing the right-click button again seems much smoother and slightly slower, so it certainly seems like this change was unintentional.
This is extremely annoying when you want to quickly change fire modes to engage targets at different distances, since you now have to re-ADS.
