HDR - PC - HDR doesn't work unless windows volume overlay is displayed

Having a weird issue.  HDR doesn't work unless the Windows volume overlay is displayed on the screen.  HDR is enabled in game as well as Windows. BF5 is the only game I have this issue with.   Any ideas on a fix?

PC Specs:

Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultimate Gaming WiFi
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC2 Ultra Gaming 
Intel i7-8600K
Corsair H100i Platinum
Corsair Vengeance Pro 3000mhz
Samsung m.2 nvme 970 1TB
Corsair CX750M PS

Samsung LC32HG70QQNXZA HDR monitor

Windows 10 (ver. 1809)

    Hi! I just got the PG35VQ and I have the exact same issue in both BF5 and AC:Odyssey. HDR doesn't work until the windows volume overlay is displayed., I've already spent 3 days searching for a solution and I couldn't find anything ☹️ I've tried all the workarounds suggested here but nothing worked. did you guys ever figure it out?

    Can u tell us if u find a solution ?

    I have the PG35VQ and same problem for all my HDR games.

    @SheriffStrafe Same issue With LG27GL850 and Samsung Odyssey G7. It not EA problem because I have same issue on others games

    I dont know how to fix that, in my opinion its windows problem or bad hdr implementation on the monitor…

    It sad because I have two hdr monitor and I can enjoy it only when I change the volume.

    Hey @Hichem47 I have the issue with a Samsung monitor and a few games, I eventually got it to work as it should with a lot of troubleshooting and playing around with seeings.

    For a few days I spent more time trying to play than actually playing games.
