I can't switch keyboard layout in the game.

Hello! Sometimes I need to change between russian (Cyrillic) keyboard and English keyboard. But "alt+shift" combination doesn't work in the game. In order to switch keyboard layout, I need to close the game, change layout in Windows and start game again. It's very inconvenient. In any other game it's not a problem, only in BFV.

This issue persists mostly for Russian players since Battlefield 4. Probably origin in-game overlay causes this problem, so i recommend you to disable overlay in Application Settings of Origin and in Game Properties via Origin. If disabling Origin in-game overlay doesn't help, then try this combination right in the game to switch your keyboard layout: Windows key+ Space key

  • The problem still exists. And it doesn't look like that DICE is going to fix that. I understand that for most of the players who use only 1 keyboard layout it's not a problem, but some part of the players feel uncomfortable with that.

    Hi there

I know it's very inconvenient and frustrating but iwould recommend to set the game in fullscreen-borderless and whenever you want to change the layout hit the windows button and change it from the keyboard icon (bottom right corner)

    Cheers

  • @SnakeEyesPC @iluminatethesky  Sure I can minimize the game and change the keyboard layout but that does not have any effect. The game takes into account only the keyboard layout chosen when game starts, that's the problem. That's why I have to restart the game. I not quite right described the problem in my first post.
