In-game nationality

I saw the trailer for the Norwegian solo campagne and it really warmed my heart. (Because I am Swedish and I understand Norwegian quite a bit). Just the feeling of a foreign language is so sweet to me other than English, German, French, Italian or Russian. (Those are basics)

WW2 was and is the biggest war that has ever happend and a lot of people have ancestors from the war. That's why I think that the 'historical' sense is so important for this kind of game.

For example, the battle of Narvik. Sure there were British soldiers in the battle but there were Norwegians and French soldiers aswell.

I think that you should be able to pick between being a Norwegian, French or British soldier in the multiplayer map. (maybe at the start of the match)

Or during Operation Barbarossa for example. You should be able to pick between being a German, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian or Italian soldier (the axis powers) at the battle of Stalingrad.

Yes it would be hard work, but I think that it would make the game better in a historical look just to fight for your home naiton. Battlefield did talk about taking us through the war with great experiences. That includes for me some 'rare' languages that you wont normally hear in a game. There are a lot of opportunities for this in this war, because there are so many countries that were affected by the war.

I would atleast want to hear both a male and a female actor for Finnish, during the winter-war DLC.

(And I think that Battlefield 1 missed out on Bulgarian, Serbian and Romanian)

Some examples other than German, British/American, French, Russian and Italian: Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Polish, Japanese, Dutch, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian and many more.

These are just examples and I hope that you get the Idea of getting some voice actors for the game in the future. (Sorry if it is too much to ask for)

Love your games and keep up the awesome work!

  • Unfortunately I do not think they pushed the game to multi nationalities for war operation. It's a bit of a shame but there was no airborne action on Narvik battle. Only landings and naval battles. But that will not stop the game from being good and fun, but it is clear that multi nationalities would be fun, we will see.

I completely agree, I really hope that multi nationalities make it into the game. Look at Overwatch for example, they have a lot of heroes from different countries and it gives the hero some 'basic' background and it gives some shifting experience for a player.

Imagine a foreign soldier throwing a grenade or giving some information for his or hers team. It gives the game so much more, in my opinion.

And yes, English(American) and German are some of the biggest languages in their player-base. But I think that they should be able to lift up some other countries, other than the 'biggest' ones.

They probably make more nationalities as bf1 but i think one nationality in each side per map.
