Select Report Player Thanks for this, but I’m not talking about emblems, I’m talking about clan tags. I can’t see a way to report those in game.
- @TheHeroLad @TheHeroLad I don't see the issue with "SS" if it refers to something like"Super Sandwiches" but if it refers to the other thing... then yeah...
- @TheHeroLad Though, I've had been in a game with someone sporting a clan tag called the "ISIS" before.
Ultimately what you and I think doesn't matter. I want EA or DICE to say whether it's acceptable or not. If it's acceptable, I won't bother reporting it. If it's not, they should take action. This isn't a rhetorical question. I'm asking on their support forum and I want an answer. If they want us to police the community they need to tell us what's acceptable and what isn't.
- @TheHeroLad They haven't given us an answer yet. I don't want to give you a history lesson on what SS means, but it is most likely something that is considered offensive (even though in this game, you can play as a Nazi).
Thanks, I see how the title might be a bit ambiguous - I think it's repulsive people use this clan tag. I'm not seeking permission to use it. Anyone who suggests it's somehow okay because it could mean something other than Nazism is weirdly prioritising hypothetical people with the initials SS over the real actual humans who are personally affected by antisemitism and other forms of hate. I just want EA to tell me whether I'm wasting my time reporting the tags when I see them.
@TheHeroLadI say, it should be reported. I'm on PS4, so reporting options are very limited on PS4 because the only thing you can report on PS4 is the specific platoon, so if you find that specific clan (which you can plug a clan tag on that one website that I forgot the name of and it will give you every matching platoon that has the tag) you can then report it for Offensive Content in-game or on the companion app.
You're right I'm sure, my wider point is assuming SS is unacceptable, why does DICE allow it to be inputted in the first place? Why is it down to you and me to do in our leisure time? And I repeat, on top of it apparently being our job to police the community, it's not clear SS even violates EA's terms. Some clarity would be great.
- @TheHeroLad Yeah, I kinda feel like I'm doing EA's job right now. I'm just a random guy that just found this forum.
