Maps are too campy and snipers have way too much power.

Why has battlefield given all the power to snipers and casual payers? Sniper class takes no skill, and should not even be in any FPS team based online multiplayer games. Most people jistcamp and not help their team. And BFV and 2042 are all amping, boring maps. It used to be 50/50...Half camping/sniping maps, half run and gun maps.

  • One could argue its part of the legacy that Battlefield has, always been a weapon and some players genuinely like that playstyle. @SwampThingDC1,

  • @SwampThingDC1 Agree that many maps are dominated by campers that snipe. Some of them are very good but it makes playing agressive without smoke less fun.

    Run-n-Gunners , Vehicular pros , campsite-builders , etc . . .
BFV allows them all , even though that's not always what's needed to Win!
I mean , too many of ANY of these and your Team suffers , often badly .

Here's a rarely developed 'skill' to work on then : Deciphering both Teams shortcomings and strengths, and then being able to do something about it .
    Tough chore , that .

In order to successfully 'fill-in' or capitalize on such noticeable gaps like this , one must be Jack-Of-All-Trades trained and self-taught .
That is , able to ABLY fly or tank or R-n-G or even camp , and in ANY Class .
This 'countering' is sort of what all BFs are built on .

    So . . .
    Time passes , and you're now a bonafide J.O.A.T. so-o . . Congratulations!
If you've really paid attention , by now you WILL have noticed that both Teams generally 'suffer' from these very same shortcomings , nearly always .
But now . . KNOWING that there'll always be perma-camped Snipers doing 'nothing' , so too do you now know what you can do about them .
    Mostly? Nothing .
    Yep
Unless they're demonstrating a wicked effectiveness , an Enemy sniper isn't worth the same value to you as going down to steal the Flag they stare at .
    I mean
A Cap Zone wall blocking their view beats them - they'll watch the Flag fall !

If it's a friendly sniper we see camped , again the higher-yielding gap to be filled by you is to go down to the Flag and visit whoever they're shooting at .
Harsh Tough Love here : Take away a 'job' one feels needs doing and MAYBE they'll go find another , hopefully more useful one .
    :P
(psst , if the job you happen to take away from an Enemy is what they're good at and then they settle on a less-productive role, that's bonus-pay for your whole Team)

Bottom Line here is this :
Constantly learning to 'read' both Teams strengths and weaknesses and developing your own J.O.A.T.-skills to capitalize on this knowledge :
It tends to render "boredom" as rather extinct in BFV.
    And in ANY map .
    Any BF , really .

  • Not everyone wants to camp and not help their team. You have to cater to all playing styles, not just campers/snipers or people with low skill levels.

It's terrible really. Devs should be catering to all playing styles, and not just people with low skill levels. Before this, it was half run and gun maps and half camping/sniping maps.

Wrong. Most teams are the same. Filled with snipers/campers and no team work.
