Medic Proficiency I special assignment stuck

First of all, I am not sure if this would be classified a bug or a technical issue, so forgive me if I am posting in the wrong forum. 

I have the "Medic Proficiency I" Special Assignment active.  One of the ways to complete this assignment is to "Kill 12 enemies in a round."  I have done this in both TDM and Conquest modes, however, the assignment is not reflecting any progress and I am not receiving the rewards. 

After achieving 14 kills in a round in TDM and the assignment showed no progress, I tried closing the BFV application and restarting, then played a round of Conquest and again achieved greater than 12 kills, but the assignment still shows no progress.

After reading other posts, it appears others are having similar issues with various other assignments.

    Hmm there's two things that come to mind in terms of possible fixes.
    One would be to repair the game via the origin app launcher; and two, to change the medic assignment with a different one and then swap it back.
