Missing Footstep audio bug is ruining the game

I can confirm that this bug is still in the game. I was in a silent area of the map yesterday where I THOUGHT I was alone. And out of nowhere I'm melee killed from behind with no audio clues that there was an enemy nearby. FIX YOUR GAME!

Have you tried changing your audio settings? Try toggling the out settings a few times testing each one. This worked for me.

Happen me too that bug but just few times but happen on pc

@jasteers580This is not a solution as it's a known bug in the game.

The GOOD news is that DICE has announced that they're looking to address this in the coming weeks. Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.

Summarize your bug I cannot hear enemy footsteps. Resulting in mostly deaths since I cannot hear them coming up from behind me. If at all, I hear their last 3 or 4 steps when they're directly behind me.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I would suggest connecting to a server and having an enemy player approach you from behind. Be sure you do not know where the enemy is coming from so as not to taint the results of the test.
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot hear an enemy coming up behind me in time to react or defend myself, always resulting in my player death.
What should be happening instead? I should be able to hear an enemy coming from at least 10 yards away from me.
