Packet loss, high latency

Checked locally, everything working fine here,

seems everybody in server has high increased latency.

Not only that, but  on xbox one x,  it seems you get  killed  in one frame alot,  by what feels like you only got hit for example,  by 3 bullits, when you are at full health, and your audio dips out for a second, because you loose frames, or that one frame dident register properly on your end?

Or the more obvious visual, you hit an enemie for over 200% when you should of killed him at 100%.

Or  Just generally feel like everyone is few seconds ahead of you. at random times.

Ingame it comes and goes and lights up like a christmas tree.

I have a Pi running smokeping and dont see anything unusual in the connection. The only game with problems is bfv.

  • @EA_Kent I am on xbox this issue happens too.

Sometimes it feels like the game freezes for a split second allowing the enemie to kill you, and your audio cuts off for a split second. But usually you hit the enemie for around 200 hits, when it should of killed him at 100%, because bullits are not registering.

Thanks for the additional info, everyone.

The Battlefield team is currently investigating some connection issues, which might be related. I'd recommend keeping out on this thread for updates. Thanks again!

Just started getting this issue again recently the last couple weeks on PC. High (red) packet loss and triple normal ping ONLY in Battlefield. Any server.

    .
I tried other games and had no problems.

    So I reinstalled, no luck.
Speed tests are all great looking on every speed test I could find.
I even got a new coax splitter from my ISP and replaced my ethernet cable to my PC just in case.
I've tried going DMZ through my router with no luck, as well as disabling IPV6 with no luck.

You know what DID work? Running a VPN! Looks like there might be an issue connecting between my local ISP and EA servers? I don't know how it all works but it looks like I have to run a VPN to get it to work properly.

I was about to try manually forwarding ports on my router, but it looks like running the VPN works wonders using a local server. Same ping in game as normal, no lag, no more packet loss issues, etc. so I'm just gonna use that as my "fix."
