Ping gone crazy. what do. send help

My buddy is having a strange problem. We will go to play a match in Multiplayer. I'll look at the list of standard servers in breakthrough or conquest and see 5 or 6 with like 34 ping, and then 3 or ...

One of my clansmen has a similar problem. When he first logs into BFV his ping will be a steady 200-230. After an hour or two it will drop back down to the 30 range. He has gigabyte service. He traces out his route and it is an EA issue.
