Re: After applying the 7.0 update, my PS4 is running slow and freezing.

Hi @unknownT_1011

I'm really sorry to hear about that happening. It sounds like this could be an issue with the PS4 hardware itself.

When you have a chance I would recommend getting in touch with PlayStation Support so they can take a look. For more information on how to reach them check out the PlayStation Support website

  • Hi @EA_Kent .

Okay, I'll contact Playstation Support JP.

I'll get back to you if I hear anything else.

    Thanks for the support!

    @unknownT_1011

    You're welcome!

Hopefully they can help figure out what's causing the issue. Let me know what you find out!

    It's been a while.
I sent my PS4 to the repair center yesterday.
After all, the HDD was broken.
    Let's get down to business.
After doing the BFV 7.0 and 7.1 update on Twitter, I found that PS4 becomes slow. Several users are saying that they are experiencing frequent errors and other symptoms.
It seems that the update file and PS4 are not compatible with each other.
So, please do me a favor and re-check the BFV update files and make sure they are compatible with PS4. Could you suggest confirmation to the BFV development team at headquarters?

    Thank you.

    Thanks for following up!

What happens if you uninstall BFV? Do these issues stop happening with your PS4?

    /Kent

  • Hi @EA_Kent .

The symptoms were that the applications and PS4 system became very slow.
I tried uninstalling them, but in my case, the error occurred frequently, and in addition to that, the aforementioned symptoms continued to occur.
In my case, this symptom is assumed to have been aggravated by the fact that BFV put too much load on PS4, and in that case, the power supply was forcibly turned off because it could not bear the excessive load, and the HDD was damaged in that case. This is semi-permanent.

Other players are still using the application error.
This symptom started to occur in the 7.0 update file after you apply it, no doubt.
Could you please tell us your view?

    Thank you.

Gotcha. I can pass this along, but what you're describing sounds like it may still be hardware related. I know you had to replace the HDD in your PS4, but there might be other issues happening with the console itself as well.

It might be a good idea to try following up with PlayStation Support to see if they have any other suggestions.

  • HI @EA_Kent

First, thank you for reporting back to the development team.

To cut to the chase, if there's a hardware problem, it's because the system update files provided by SIE are interfering with the hardware.
But in the year and a half I've been using PS4, I've never had a problem with system updates. It was not. So it's unlikely that the hardware is causing these events.
It's just a theory, but I'm wondering if BFV may have exceeded the PS4's acceptable specs after the patch was applied.
The PC version of BFV doesn't seem to have any such cases, so the only thing we can assume is that there is a glitch in the BFV system.

Also, when we contacted Playstation support earlier, we were told that "that's not our jurisdiction, that's EA's jurisdiction and we can't deal with that".

So it seems that we have to rely on the development team for this problem.

    Thanks.

    /T.Ino
