I have the same issue, I can hear squad-mates but they cannot hear me. I have the speaker symbol next to my name but it never switches the image to the "active" icon.
My mic works in TS, Discord, and works fine in the Origin mic test.
All other sound devices in the sound control bar have been disabled. In every location the headset is set as default. I even went into the apps section and set the head for Origin.
I am using a HyperX Cloud Revolver S (USB Audio Control Box with DSP Sound Card built in).
There seem to be no dedicated drivers for this device (windows driver), and the headsets firmware is up to date.I am running windows 10 Pro 64-bit, build:1803
Reading all the forums this is an issue all over BF5. People are even aware of the issue in game in the chat box when you say the mic isn't working in BF5 and they respond with "oh you have having that issue like the rest"!
Any clues on a fix would be great.Hey @5pecialist,
Have you checked your audio settings in game, and make sure you have VOIP enabled?
Are your Realtek Drivers up to date?
Thanks 🙂
- Hi, Thanks for the quick responce.
Yes the VIOP is on ingame. I can see and hear squad-mates icons/ voices.
My Realtek drivers were out of date (though last version was published mid 2016) how ever no change to the problem when updated to this version.
Still have no idea how to get this solved but thank you for trying. - EA_Atic7 years ago

Hey @5pecialist, if you try push to talk and use that key-bind does it work for you then?

- Hi @EA_Atic,
Thank you for your help.
Ok so origin is set to voice activated and mic works in test.
If i go to key binding in BF5 and put LAlt back in VoiP works.
If i remove key binding (as in hold Esc to clear) the VOIP does not work on voice activation.
So is push to talk the only option? Also wouldn't it be a good idea to keep all the VOIP controls in one place? - EA_Atic7 years ago

Hey @5pecialist,
The Origin settings are mainly for the VOIP system that Origin has, but good idea to use as a test. 🙂
Currently Battlefield V is only Push to talk.
I'm assuming you wanted the keybind under Audio settings?

- I think it would be good to keep all the controls for it together.

Hello. I'm using wired Head set on Xbox for battlefield 5 and I can hear game audio but I'm unable to chat or hear others chat. I know my microphone works ive tested it on other games. Not sure how to fix this. It used to work on a previous battlefield 1 when I played online.
