I have experienced this also. TRY: aiming character straight down for a moment and then back flat in the direction you want to go. This seems to help in my experience.

I have tried this. There's nothing mechanically I can do to alter the trajectory. The angle is significantly smaller than it should be for me. I'm burdened to a narrow straight down approach every jump. This did not always do this... And it doesn't do it to everyone. I've reinstalled the game. Changed my skins. Altered field of view. And even lowered the resolution to 1080p.
I loaded another profile, and it worked just fine...@H0B0J0EJ0EI agree that there is a bug in the game that completely prevents forward momentum sometimes. I have been in a situation where my team is flying away from me at great speed and there is NOTHING that I can do to get moving forward.
I learned early on, on the PS4, I had to spam the hell out of the "forward" stick, click the hell out of it, in order to move..."proper".
I thought for the longest time it was the "planes momentum", pushing me away from where I was wanting to go.
