- Ditto, freezes constantly throughout the game. Sometimes long enough to kick me for being idle and others not. Its very frustrating.
- Anonymous7 years agoDX12 is not running - and a clean boot did not do the trick. Thanks for the try though, i didn't know there was such a thing as a clean boot 🙂
- I'm also having issues. It happens randomly between 30 mins up to 1hr. The game will completely force a hard restart of my pc. No bsod and getting error in window reporting while playing. Cache hierarchy error

Hey @IggyPott, can you upload a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you are using.
Thanks!

Here is mine...
- Same issue. Cant play more than 3 minutes of multiplayer and I have not been able to make it through the prologue without the screen turning black and the game kicking me to desktop with no error message.
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad Core Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580
Ram: 16GB same exact thing here. 1080 ti/7700k can get a few kills/spawns in and then freezes for a second and then straight to desktop
- I've also done a complete driver uninstall in safe mode and reinstalled the newest nvidia driver. same issue. going to try full fame reinstall now
- I unplugged one of my monitors and I was able to make it through the prologue.

So I got mine to work last night. Played 3 maps straight and no CTD.
I did 3 things, not sure if it was anyone or a combination that fixed it. I will find that out today just because I am curious and want to know. 🙂
I verified game files, it did a very short download. I doubled my virtual memory, and I moved my ram back to xmp speed, 3200 on the ram. I have been at 4000 on my ram for months but I will move it back to 4000 today and see if I get CTD.
Hello
It's the same for me, game freeze then I have to manually reboot my computer cause I can't alt+tab.
It randomly occurs between 5 and 50 minutes of gameplay.
Here is my dxdiag
I already uninstalled all drivers and complete a fresh clean install.

I put my ram back to 4000 and first map CTD. Placed ram @ XMP and played for two hours no problem. Was a ram OC issue for me.
- Try disabling the Geforce Experience and see if you can play without any hang ups or crashes to desktop.
I did that last night and was able to play conquest for a few hours until the EA servers crashed, lol.
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4228/~/disabling-the-geforce-experience-share-in-game-overlay @DooRules THANK YOU!!!! I reseated my ram and forced the XMP profile to 3200 (not auto) and it hasn't failed me yet, going on 2 hours. With out XMP on I can play all the Team Death Match I want, but as soon as I loaded Conquest, even 32 player Conquest, it would still crash. My ram is G.SKILL Ripjaws V 3200 mhz 2x8 gbs.

Hey @Tig2r, are you experiencing that your hardware is getting 100% used or any overheating going on for you?
/Atic
Hello @EA_Atic
I watched my video card monitor and apart from the vram used at maximum, everything seems fine.
One time I got a freeze and when I restarted my bios told me that my CPU overheated ...
Its a factory OC video card so I tried to downgrade the base clock to the default settings but the problem was still here.
I tried to format my computer and switch to an SSD (it was time even if it does not matter) to have a clean installation, but the problem was still here.
Finally I switch to directx 12 instead of directx 11 and I installed .net framework 3.5 (I forgot after the clean install), I downgrade the quality to low and I do not have any problems since (I played like 3 hours in row without crash)
However it seems that my processor is less used than before and heats less so maybe it was the problem I don't know.
I can send you a new dxdiag if you want.
Cordially,

Try getting a more powerful cooler for your CPU if overheating is the issue for you. 🙂 @Tig2r
Thanks for all the steps you done. 🙂

I'm just joining the bandwagon on the freezing issue. It happens at random, started today (first few days BFV ran fine) Everything is up to date and I can't find any hardware related issues.
i7 8700k
Asus Z370 Prime
Kingston 2666Mhz DDR4 16GB
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
W10 Pro
EVGA GTX 1080 SC ACX 3.0Edit: Added a screenshot of task manager. I think it's safe to say what causes this at this point... Just like with BF1 the CPU is getting hogged. Right now I am playing on LOW with the "min:latency" setting.
Same! I.made a new post to this freeze problem with people posting with similar issues.
Hopefully we can get a reply soon ☹️

Hey @IGF-Honorguy What windows version are you on? We seen reports trying to update to 809 have improved the FPS for other players.
A link here to download the latest windows version: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

I'm having similar problems. The game starts stuttering and lags hard. My FPS goes from a 80-90, to 10. It seems to be at random.
Problem is that the FPS drop percists after exiting the game.
This makes the game unplayable for my im afraid.
