The Battlefield team has this mentioned on the known issues list.

Video Options

Lighting is too bright in-game
Try switching off HDR in the video settings. Restart your game once you’ve done that and you should see a change in the lighting right away.

I cannot find any setting for turning off HDR in my PS4 version of BFV.

Ah, missed the mention of PS4 at the top of your report. That is only available on PC.

Have you tried re-adjusting the brightness levels at all? We've seen some feedback on what you described regarding brightness when looking in and out of windows though.
