Re: New Breakthrough Team Balancing

This is a message I typed to my squad today after playing breakthrough the last two nights. Keep in mind I had no idea EA implemented match making this week. I just found out. 

"After two nights of BFV without a win it's pretty clear that EA and Dice still haven't implemented a matchmaking balancing system exacerbated by not being able to switch teams. It's pretty frustrating to get stuck on inept teams. Yet EA cited TTK as the reason people weren't coming back. The losing team is rarely full and constantly playing down 4-10 players which gets old fast. Leaving a game and joining another will land you in the exact same situation because the exact same thing is occurring in every single game. (We didn't leave servers) So basically every game you go to is 32 vs 24 and unless you enter a game at the end of the round when people on the winning team actually leave you're just thrown onto the team that everyone left because they're getting crushed. Not only have we lost every game, we've been destroyed in most cases. When 4 people who haven't played the game in over a year join a server mid game and get best squad it's not a great sign."

    The team removed this feature either earlier today or yesterday after some feedback and noticing certain discrepancies in some servers; be sure to follow official channels for when it gets back up and running

    @TTZ_Dipsy That´s good to hear. I honestly was terrible. I really like, that they are trying to improve the game, even if this is more like a beta test for BF6. However, why are they trying to balance over multiple servers? They should start with a simple teambalancer per server first.

    The new balancer got deactivated, but a question that I´m asking myself still remains: Why are they trying to balance between servers and even start new once to try and make it a fun experience? We had a lot of balancing tools in previous itterations of the game (mid round balancing to account for players leaving, end of round team scambling to make the next round at least different, team switching option). I don´t want to restart the discussion about team switching and "skill based" end of round team balancing. However, why does the game not have a simple end of round team scrambling? This is incredibly easy to implement. It wouldn´t necessarily make the next round more balanced, but it will make it different and not make players of the losing team leave.

    I think this is a possible patch addition and would prevent things like in the picture below happening all the time. Let me tell you: the second round wasn´t much fun as well....
