Re: Terrible performance on PC after new Nvidia drivers installed

A roll back to a working driver will always be best but try perhaps a "Clean Install" instead of the express install?

See if that works?

The problem is apparently with the nvidia drivers 417.22

I have an acer predator helios 300 and everyone with that laptop plus others is having terrible performance with those drivers. A rollback fixes the low fps but I still cannot play BF5 because it crashes on anything other than the latest nvidia driver.
  • This is intentional by NVIDIA.. They also jacked up the price of a 1080ti.. They're trying to force RTX card sales in the most illegal way possible... We have 142 people so far willing to go in on a class action lawsuit, if you want to join, let me know

Keep your conspiracy. I use a rtx 2080 with ryzen 7 2700x. Got same issue.

    Will try driver rollback.
