Re: Very bad perfomance with i7 8700k and 1080Ti 11gb

Upgrading RAM speeds will definitely proof beneficial. Also in the end your performance is not too bad but like you I do expect more from such a great & expensive system. Good to hear other games run as expected but for what I've seen of CoD it does have less advanced and less complicated scenery?

-make sure the ram is always running in Dual channel mode?
-how did you set gpu and cpu to run at max performance?
-future frame rendering on = better picture but slower performance
-80fps is not that bad and i has the same results with my 1080Ti, the game is just very heavy as were all BF titles before this day
-160FPS? wow thats awesome, just increase gaphics settings til its a little above 100/120FPS for the best quality / speed combination?

dont forget BFV is a 60 tickets / server FPS game this will limit the feedback > induce LAG < and delay updates more then it should

Memory runs in dual channel  ,checked it with cpu-Z app

Im using ultimate performance power preset so cpu is always working at max speed

For gpu i've set it to max performance both in 3d settings and for a 3d program ,in this case bf5

As far as i heard ,ffr off will test your system heavily ,cost you some fps but minimize input lag while having it set to off, ffr on, at least on higher end pc's will grant you some fps in exchange for little input lag( in my case i got +35 fps average)

But im still talking about the fact that i've run it at full low settings but mesh quality and texture filtering.I left those at ultra and still on some maps frames drop to 50 ( devestation, rotterdam, operation underground) when there is heavy fighting going on and that should simply not happen at all with my specs

This game should run on my default settings ,which all maxed out on stable 80-100 fps

But on low settings the numbers should be doubled, at least in my opinion

Update : I said i ordered 2x8 ddr4 3000 mhz ( up to 4600 mhz) ram but instead i've bought one more stick of the same memory

It was delivered to me minutes before this reply and have yet to test it out

So that would be 24 gb of high performance ram

And if that doesnt fix these issues, then its definitely the game's problem, not mine .

It actually really feels that all the load ,no matter the settings goes on the cpu and the gpu barely breaks the sweat

Since bf franchise heavily relies on the cpu but still..makes no damn sense to me

I upgraded from a GTX1080Ti OC to a RTX2080Ti OC and now instead of 80FPS i get 120FPS (with raytracing OFF), with DXR / RTX raytracing on the game will exactly like on a 1080Ti. it is just limited by the extremely complicated content and 60FPS ticket rate. As time has proven over and over again A game will only run as expected after 1/2 years of fine tuning and one has to put in a lot of effort and maybe a little luck to achief this. Good luck with the upgrade
