Re: Why does EA protect cheaters?

@I-YesItsMe-IPublicly posting their cheating never helps except in your own channel for your own purposes; And i should add that only your friends should be able to get access to the footage and then the developers when you Officially submit a ticket to report the offender(s(); The Company, EA, DICE, whoever cannot participate in the "name and shame" hoopla that most youtubers feel is the best way to get a cheater banned. If you didn't know, cheaters are often 'fueled' buy Youtubers posting their names in view, in public, and posting in Official forums, where they feel a sense of importance more-so than if they were reported in Official Ticket Submissions in the Official Channels, rather than their "Fake Glory" spread all around the forums.

Anyone suffering from a cheater ruining the experience needs to record or at least take screens (screens are not as helpful) and then submit a support ticket, to report the player(s) in question.

It likely isn't the Developers Supporting cheaters, you just haven't given them a reasonable chance to review the offense and insist on post youtube clips in public Forums, especially here, and thinking that they will support you breaking the policy.

Submitting ticket to report cheaters are definitely not working. I've done it many times before on different cheaters but it's gets the same result because they don't even look at the video footage.

In case you ask how do I know, I've uploaded video to YouTube and submit ticket with link as evidence. I've submitted more than 5 tickets with videos to report on different cheaters, 3 months later I checked on the YouTube statics and only 1 video has views and no views at all on other videos.

Apparently the message that developers are sending are, either we accept the cheating or leave the game.

  • You clsoed a thread on the discussion on cheating in game may I ask why, you did not answer or resolve any of the comments or critism. Cheating is profilic I have been on today every server yes every server has a hacker on it the guys are reporting it but as said nothing happens, is it a case of not discussing your methods as a head in the sand approach, as guys playing comments like BF is a dead game now etc. disheartens the guys that have long followed this series. I know this is not an easy task but a hacker that has been reported day after day with scores of 150-3 every game is not and idle or mailcious report.

I have started a new thread and put this as the first comment please may I have a realistic answer and not just report them as already highlighted from the players view this achieves nothing.

    Hello there,

To iterate from my post here

Our work against cheating in Battlefield V will continue, too. The members of our anti-cheat team are working daily towards making the battlefield experience as free of foul play as possible. Discussing technical detail into our methods may unfortunately make cheating worse, but we want you to know that we’re constantly fighting the battle.

As a reminder, there are steps you can take to help us keep the fight fair. You can report suspected cheaters through the Origin overlay if you're playing on PC, or through your respective consoles if you're playing on Xbox One or PlayStation® 4. This walkthrough will show you how. Also, protect your EA Account so it won’t be compromised and used by cheaters. Here’s how it’s done.

With this update, we'd like to remind you to please report cheating through our official channels, instead of discussing or highlighting it via forums. This means going forward we'll close threads regarding cheating to ensure our dedicated teams can action the reports via the appropriate channels.

With that said I'm closing this topic.

    /Atic
