It also says Im a trial player when I've owned the game for nearly a year, ever since the update earlier it believes Im a trial player. Says 'Battlefest celebration' then gives me an option to skip or buy the game, if I skip it doesnt allow me to play online and if I click buy it gives me prices of the game. This isn't only happening to new players, this is happening to anyone.

problem on Xbox. Clearly this is an EA problem It happened to me too I bought the game 6 months ago an I have proof of the purchase an its saying I'm a trial player
Why you always give tips which never works. It is global bug and you only copy paste the same instructions. I very disappointed with your support.
Sadly this issues has existed since October 2019 and yet EA has done nothing, it hasn't responded or fixed the issue and it seems to me that huge amounts of people have the same issue and yet EA have done nothing.
It's sadly why I no longer buy EA products.
Don't expect a fix anytime soon.
- @slartibartfasts I agree that a lot of people have this issue too. That’s because EA has no support for every country and Xbox support can’t help with the problem. Second because this forum is a little hidden (I took a while to find) and those with no English skill won’t find any help.
They will release a new BF sooner than fix the bug. The BF V is a thing of the past, so why waste their time and money to fix some antiquities.

I also have the same problem guys, support from the EA throws me to microsoft and microsoft to the EA
- @danielcostav The same situation. When 1st time I contact to support EA immediately some guy from EA recommend contact with Microsoft. I called and support Microsoft recommended contact with EA. 2nd time contact with EA finish without solution. I talked over 1h and they didn’t help. I think we can forget to play BF V. Wait only for new Battlefield and spend money.

So this problem have only players with Game Pass?
Or players who have digital version too?
Now after patch i can play costum games.
What patch? Here it is still the same, unable to connect to the MP in the account without GPU.
I don't think they released a patch and the only way is for you to subscribe to the GPU on the other account and play, if you want.

Cant belive this is still happening I saw that the issue was a year old when I first read this thread as I have the same issue I thought it would be fixed by now
I have come across hundreds of people in different groups who had the same issue and we have all tried to get EA to solve the issue with no response or solutions from EA.
This lack of customer care is the reason why I stopped buying anything EA , I was going to buy quite a few things as Christmas presents and I decided not too, I wonder how much this will cost EA and yes it really has been since October 2019 this issue first came up.
I had a minor issue with Bards Tale by Inexile and I contacted them and within 24 hours they had fixed it and given everyone free in game items, now thats customer service.
does anyone with account sharing on their xbox and playing with an account without GPU know whether the problem happens in B1 as well?
I don't wanna be disappointed again...
EA seems to care less and less every day about an year old simple bug holding back hundreds of good costumers.
- @amirmopse Battlefield 1 definitely works, the problem just happened with BFV.
Also, today's BFV patch says this in the patch notes:
"Fixed an issue that was causing for some players who were accessing Battlefield V via EA Play to show as Trial Users"
Could someone who had the issue before give the game a try and see if it works now? - @Ragunator thanks for the replay. i'm glad to know that. so, I've downloaded the 900~so mb patch and applied the downloadable interface in the game. the issue still presists. I can see a wallpaper change on the background only. I think it's time to move on to call of duty. I don't think this issue will ever resolve.
I'm really tried of going back and forth with Microsoft and EA. they're both fairly irresponsible in this matter.
I'm done @RagunatorNot working here too. EA thinks that we are somehow trying to violate something by trying to play with shared account... In my case, we use different users because my brother plays too. We doesn’t want to mix progress and statistics. It would be crazy to have to pay* 2 subscriptions for the same Xbox.
