RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit Problems...

So default option on RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit is 1 for me and when I change it to 0 it goes back to 1 when i spawn again... On 1 i get 90 fps and on 0 i get 170fps... Can anyone help me please?

Then the only idea I have left is that you might have a second version of BFV on your system? Perhaps the Beta?

If that also don't helps. 90FPS is not ideal, but also not that bad. 😉

"RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 0" is not really a setting, you need at least 1 Frame per-rendered.

So if you set it to 0 the game will use the default setting which will be "2" (Or 3, not sure about BFV)

But I don't know why it is resetting.

Try "RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2" and if you have a NVIDIA GPU make sure you have set "Maximum Pre-Rendered frames" in the NVIDIA control panel to "use application settings".

Try to repair the game. (in Origin > Game Library > right click BFV > Repair)

    If that don't helps:

    • Make sure Origin is completely closed.
    • Go to your "Documents\Battlefield V" folder and move the "settings" folder to your desktop.
    • Start Origin > Test the Game.

    Try this:

    • Make sure Origin is closed.
    • Create a empty Text file on your Desktop.
    • Change the file extension from "txt" to "cfg"
    • Change the name to "user" = user.cfg
    • Open the "user.cfg" and copy and past "RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2" (Whiteout the quotes) into it.
    • Save the file.
    • Move the file into your BFV game directory (<drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield V)
    • Test.
