Screen Disconnects

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:PC

Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer

Summarize your bug Screen turns off and says nothing is connected to the display port.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know how or why it happens but happens every time I have tried playing a few minutes I start playing no matter what game mode I play.
What happens when the bug occurs? The screen goes black and says that nothing is connected to the display port.
What should be happening instead? The display shouldn't be getting disconnected.

I just bought the game on PC and cant play more than a few minutes before the screen disconnects and says that nothing is connected to the display port. Happened in the starting mission twice and then when I skipped to try multiplayer it happened again.

    Hey @thunderbud24. 

    That's definitely weird. Have you checked to make sure that your resolution and refresh rate are set properly on the new display? Also are you using G-sync or Freesync on that display?

    I turned Freesync off and the refresh rate are set properly. I tried playing today and it hasn't happened yet but the game did crash after I left a server and then tried to join another one.

    Gotcha. Did it give any error messages at all when it crashed, or did it just go straight to the desktop?

    First the screen freezes then goes black and then it goes back to my desktop.

    Got it. Have you had a chance to try repairing the game in Origin to see if that helps at all? There might be something missing or corrupted in the game data causing the crash. 

    If you right-click on Battlefield V in your Library you should see a Repair option in the menu that comes up. Let me know if that helps at all.

    I haven't tried that yet but when I get the chance to I'll try that and let you know how that worked.

    Just tried playing after repairing and it still crashed before I could finish a game.

    Thanks for giving it a shot for me. When you've got a chance can you pull up a DxDiag so we can take a look? For more info on how to grab the file check out the EA Help website. Once you have it you can attach it to this thread.

    Much appreciated!

    Looking at the DxDiag it appears that Radeonsoftware.exe is hanging. I'm wondering if this might be related to the display issues you've been seeing. When you have a chance can you try setting up a Clean Boot on your PC to see if that makes a difference? If this is software-related that might help us narrow down what could be causing the issues. 

    For more details on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help site. Let me know how that goes when you're able. Thanks!
