Screen flickering in BFV & BF1 with new graphics card

Hey so first of all my rig:

Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit

BeQuiet pure power L7 630W

2 x 8 GB Ram DDR3 1600 MHz

Asus Maximus VI Hero Motherboard

Intel Core i7 4770

Aerocool XPredator Evil Green Edition

MSI AMD RX 5700 XT evoke OC Graphicscard

So my problem is that with this new graphics card BF1 runs worse than with my older Nvidia EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 Edition. When joining a game conquest my screen is flickering and my fps drop from 144 fps to like 40 and the game freeze every 2 or 3 seconds.

I installed windows completely new and before that deleted all stuff on my SSD to make sure the old nvidia stuff wont affect anything since I switched to AMD

What I tried so far to solve the problem:

Change between DX12 ON/OFF - didnt work

Disable VSync - didnt work

Disable lock GPU memory usage - didnt work

Changing graphic settings from low to ultra - no affect at all

Graphics card driver is the latest and after installing windows today I installed BF1 fresh on my new system and still have this problem.

Someone knows whats wrong? Maybe not enough power? Is 630W not enough?

Other games like Overwatch and Apex seem to work on stable 144 FPS with high to ultra settings..

Hey I managed to fix my problem, I simply deactivated the origins ingame setting to off and the flickering is gone! both for BF1 and BFV!

    Thx for help anyway 🙂

  • Hello,

After the last update in battlefield V I have -60 FPS and even if it's at ultra setings it looks like hell. It used to run between 90 to 100 fps on ultra settings now it's at 40.

While the update was made I changed ram position on the mother board.

So my question is this: it's my fault or your fault?

    Thank you.

    @recon763

Try the above and let us know how you get on.

If you you did something wrong when moving your RAM to another slot, you would definitely notice a bigger issue so I think you are good there.

    Thanks.

  • what does he mean by saying " I simply deactivated the origins ingame setting to off "

where do I find these settings

  • I turned off the origin in game setting it's a big improvement but it still drops under 50 fps sometimes.

    I activated dx12 no luck
