I’m someone who returned to BF5 a few days ago. I’m not sure if the cause is the same as everyone else’s, but I haven’t been able to play properly either. In my case, this seems to occur particularly on Asian servers.
There doesn’t seem to be a specific time of day when it happens. About 30 seconds after joining a server, the screen freezes or flickers briefly in a loop, and the cursor doesn’t respond properly. During this time, the Extra offset remains at 300–400 ms.
After 30 seconds, the Extra Offset stabilizes at 120 ms, and the lag temporarily clears up. The points circled in black on the graph indicate these moments.
However, lag occurs frequently during gameplay afterward, making it difficult to play. I don’t recall experiencing this issue when I played six months to a year ago.
