@Sebash92 Very strange one thing I did notice with the new driver I also have gone down to 120 FPS and never used to go down this low :/ But on one map I also hit 200FPS a few times and this is a first as well so it makes it a interesting new driver. Did you also do all the settings in NVIDIA Control panel ?
Edit @SterlingARCH3R lol I so do not follow the rules with the FPS never have never will I do what pulls the most out of my rigs as I don't spend this kind of money on custom rigs to limit them. This is just my view others think different. If I can ever stay at 200fps in BFV like I do in BF4 I would be happy lol. And no I do not have screen tears and other non-desirable effects lol.
@2042isNotBF damn, would you consider to back to older driver? Yea I have all same settings in nvidia.
So you didnt have any drops to 120 fps in older driver on dx12? or you play on dx11?
Yea i got hit 200 fps also. So we have same pluses and minuses about latest driver on dx12. but I had drops to 120 fps on my previus drivers anyway (with future rendering off, with ON - nope)
So our fps are based on version of driver.
Do you remember what version of oldest driver you had? So i would think if I want to back to your older version if you telling me you didnt have drops down below 140 fps
Edit. Future rendering doesnt work on dx12? It gives me no difference ;o

@Sebash92 I will stay on the new driver for now and yes on DX12. I will give it a few days before I look at going back to the old driver. If I recall correct I had in 416.94 , the 120fps hits don't overtake it , I stay more higher in FPS about 140 - 190 fps now so its worth the drop once in a few so far as its not effecting my game play. But me watching my FPS is getting me killed more today lol. And I do love the 200fps once in a few lol. Edit.... maybe I did hit 120 fps on old driver as I did not watch it as much as I am today but if I did was not much as I always watch FPS just sometimes more then others.

Sure no problem, let me now if you think latest (new) driver is better compare to your old. If not, we will both back to older one 🙂
Also, what abotu that future rendering? It doesnt give anything on dx12 or am i wrong?
Only works with dx11?
Im asking because I have found this thread, i dont know If i can link it but its very good:

@Sebash92 Future rendering should work in DX12 but will have to test it to be sure you never know with win10 lol. In BFV this sec so will look at the link in a bit but fast glance looks good. I just caught framerate limiter and Vsync turned on in game and I always have both off grr the two most evil settings and this is the second time this week the game has changed settings on me. I will need to look into this more as it should not do this at all.

@2042isNotBF
Hello, if you want to know my opinion Im back to dx11, dx12 it is not stable and it stutters, i set up in nvidia panel future rendering to 2, and same used in cfg.
The game works perfect, got stable fps and stable game without stutter, input lag its all about 20~ms which is nothing and we should care about that cuz we play on vsync off.
But tell me ur opinion because we got similar PC Specs - 7 years ago
@Sebash92 I think if you found what works best for you / your rig use it. On my rig DX12 is not giving me any issues so I will keep using it.

Future rendering doesnt work well on dx12.
My setup with futurerendering on dx1 doesnt give me any FPS DROPS/stutters etc.
Dx12 maybe its good but i dont like my screen tearing and not stable 😉
I like everything perfect 🙂 - 7 years ago
@Sebash92 lol I do not use Future frame rendering it is Off and I do not have any stutters or screen tearing on DX12. Future frame rendering can and will increase your input lag be it DX11 or DX12.
If I dissable my future rendering I got fps drops, i will never believe you dont have any drops under 144 fps which will make your screen tearing/stutters 😉
ANd it doesnt matter its on dx11 or dx12
Settings all low, copied ur cfg, settings etc and we have similar PC setup
Ur settings in game also at low + mesh at ultra? - 7 years ago
@Sebash92 Yes your FPS will go down when you turn off Future frame rendering no question and if you use Future frame rendering your FPS go up but you get more input lag aka harder to get kills lol. I never said I never get 120fps I said my average fps is 140 -180 depending on what video card driver I use and whats map I am on and whats going on around me on each map. I don't use the settings in the cfg as I have no need to use them as I have done a Manual overclock on my CPU 4.5GHz. And I have done a OC on my GPU 1708MHz. I also use win 10 enterprise and I can turn off more apps etc / have more control then other win 10 users can on home or pro etc. As well as I do not allow many programs on my game rig only what I need to game. And as far as you don't believe me I don't get screen tearing etc this is your choice and I don't care.

Ahhhh the great FFR debate... it never ends lol
Some people get good results, some don't. Its PC environment specific.
Just buy a £4000 setup and you are good to go... (if you have unlimited funds!) :eahigh_file:

@IICookieGII thanks for your answer. Well if it comes to FFR everyone with not so good setup should read this thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/9vte98/future_frame_rendering_an_explanation/
(I hope I can link reddit)
Also I get deeply inside my setup and I noticed I forget to OC my GPU Memory Clock. +450 Mhz gave me a lot of FPS with UV OC on curve 984mv/1900mhz
So OC 1080ti with 8600k also after OC is barely enough for 144hz. Because now I dont drop under 140 fps. Before I didnt OC my memory clock I had drops.
Also we talking here about no future rendering + dx12 - because dx12 is actually much better than more ppl think compare to dx11. It gives a lot more fps compare to dx11.
Also what I found (because I like to searching).
For bf5, actually frostbite you need a CPU with a lot of threads, 8600k is unfortunately only 6 threads. Even a bit worse CPU with 12 threads will be much better and gives you more fps + i would said that you would be able to have only 1070ti or 1080.
+ of course all settings in this thread which can be also found in google because its very common setttings to use even in bf4/3
Tl;dr:
Feel free to use FFR if you did everything with ur settings and OC and still got drops under 140 which gives crazy stutters/tearing for your eyes, number 1 or even 2 for FFR(nvidia) gives very not noticable input lag(check thread at reddit). And consider to dont use FFR and have fps drops its not worth for me, unless you dont care like me who likes clean vision.
Also as I mention for bf5 you need a cpu with a lot of threads, more than 6 for sure, because as you can see my 8600k is barely not enough. (even if its very good cpu)
