Social page opens in game when firing weapon on pressing R2

Summarize your bug Social screen appearing on pressing R2 in game instead of firing weapon.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play game and it may appear after death/ respawn.
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot fire my weapon, but instead social page keeps opening and closing on pressing R2 until I redeploy.
What should be happening instead? Gun should fire in game. R2 social should only work whilst in menus before game.

Since 1.7 update I am having an issue of the Social page opening in game when I try to fire my weapon on pressing R2 button. This is intermittent, but I have to either press options, select Social , then exit social to make it go away, or sometimes I need to redeploy to clear this bug. Also challenges screen stays over gameplay at the same time and the steps taken clear this. I am on PS4 Battlefield V. Another user said on twitter they had same issue and found pressing start twice cleared issue, until next time it happened again.

    I get the pause menu overlay alot whenever I pause to invite players via the Squad tab. It goes away if I pause and then unpause.

    This bug has been around since day one and is unbelievable hasn't been fixed yet (because should be easy to reproduce and to fix too, is a really dumb annoying bug).

    It happens every time you play around with your squad menu, like after kicking someone to make room, first bullet you shot after that and there's the social page (and you're dead 'cause you were aiming some bunny sniper)

    On ps4, if you manage to stay alive, just press options and then get back to make it disappear.

    This is less a bug and more a poor menu design.  If you open the option menu then back out using cancel/O button which lowers the social menu, it will jump up again if you attempt to fire.

    To avoid it, just select resume with the X button.  It has been like that since day 1.

    i still get it. ive noticed if i see the squad icons in the bottom right of the screen my first R2 fire will bring that screen up. so i pause go into controls then back out then unpause and carry on. had some crazy deaths also, spawned and there was enemy right behind me with a shotgun boom 1 shot after 1 second dead like he knew the spawn point? also behind cover shot dead + sometimes didnt even show who shot me? bit annoying as i saw no one.

    Not only is the bug still present today, it even works if after playing a game and using the squad menu you train in the shooting range. Matches without audio, audio that remains in the loop, drop in frames, textures that do not load or of poor quality, tanks that make black smoke, and so on and so forth. This game is getting worse with every patch, great job.
