Sprint slide function does not work with the "ALTERNATE" control scheme

same on ps4. somehow by long pressing the circle button to knife an enemy, the character slides (alternate scheme) 

its annoying and you cant properly play the game !!! i was really looking forward to the new dlc and now i can not enjoy it because of the movement.
