Submachine Guns

For many, people will say this will make submachine guns overpowered and medics to good but the fact of the issue is that when even in close quarters the STG-44 still trumps over it is very frustrating. The M1928A1 in particular has almost no control and reduces it's range. To use medic is unbearable in most maps because everyone uses weapons with better control and range. Can't even revive people of you can't defend yourself. I'm asking for better handling over submachine guns to give them some edge to fight for better range combat. The engagements should want you to hate using medic but rather give you the ability to help teammates in both revive and fighting. At this point, may as well take their guns away and just charge players for shooting medics negative points because in the end it is just as infuriating since the all might STG has immaculate control compared to every submachine gun.

  • It's not that bad imo. For close range you have the Type 2A with very fast TTK, for mid range you have the MP34 which is super accurate with iron sights and for long range you have the jungle carbine which can 1 shot headshot people, so basically it's better than the whole sniper class if you don't engage super-long range.

  • Seriously every class has its draw backs. Sub machineguns are pretty good if you know how to use em. 

    Realistically it takes time to learn all of the weapons, and they all respond and react differently.

    The thompson is one of my fav weapons. Dont ads it, hip fire. Also if using it dont stand back. Rush forward. 

    Dont be disheartened just focus on learning each weapon. Initially you qill find some very frustrating but once you understand how they work and adapt your strategy to it you will find your favourites. 

    The stg 44 is a good all rounder but i rarely use it now at all. Each class has a good all rounder, i would say the sten or the mp 40 are the medic classes best all rounders.  But you will move towards others as you get more specialised.

  • My issue with smg comes down to this. I try to push to the frontlines as much as I can since that is where everyone is getting killed at usually. But when I push up, it's always the range weapons like STG and such hitting me. Doesn't help that most teams I get aren't the greatest at support fire, but even in medium engagements, it is a struggle to fight with smgs and in close, my experince is constantly the STG over ever weapon due to fire rate balance accuracy and damage. Which doesn't make sense how the M1928 does less than the ME and less range.

  • Reason why I say it's terrible is because they are so underpowered to even real life standards all because people didn't want them to be like the 1916 back in BF1 which I understand. But on the same hand I can't effectively use a M1928 or MP40 as well as someone boogieing a MMG is quite annoying because they had decent range when you look at the performance statistics from the war.

    The new Welch gun is great, the Grease gun is also great. You start firing with hipfire and the when the cross air begins to get too wide, you can switch to ironsight while shooting for the finishing shots.

    But if you believe the Stg is that much better, run that setup!

    You believe an mmg is as useable as an smg?

    Sorry but you lost me there. 

    Smgs are highly effective if used correctly. If you are constantly dying  its not because of the weapon, but rather position. Remember the smg is the weapon class for the one class that gets SMOKE. 

    The mp 40 is one of the best all round weapon in the game. Hugely controllable, decent range, excellent accuracy.
