Hello SourceError,
The number of servers is directly related to player demand. For example, this morning there was only one EU DICE server, but last night there were nine. It’s purely demand-driven.
I did a little more experimenting tonight. I noticed a single NA Tactical Conquest server in the server browser and joined it. There was one player on it. He told me that he had started it by selecting play from the Multiplayer>Tactical Conquest screen. Unfortunately for him, he was located in Brazil and instead of joining a regionally local server he inadvertently spun up a North American server. I waited for about 90 minutes for the server to populate. We saw the occasional player join but invariably they were from either South America or Europe. Eventually I was disconnected from the server with an error message about losing connection to the EA servers and greeted with a button to "Go Online". Once I did, I tried to start another NA Tactical Conquest server as the one I was on disappeared, but instead was placed into a BoB server in South America. After trying many times to start an NA server, I had one fluke where another player was placed into my squad and an NA server did start. When I asked friends from NA to attempt to join the server by hitting Play from the Tactical Conquest screen, they were placed into the South American BoB server.
There is something scuffed with the container manager and match maker which explains why we went from having a half dozen NA tactical conquest servers every day to zero for the last couple of weeks. Can someone please look into this?
