"trail player" even though game is purchased

I have a disk copy of BF 5 and just recently whenever I try to play online it tells me "Upgrade now this content isn't available for a trial player." And takes me to a screen where I can purchase the game even though I already have with a hard copy. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game which only works for a few days and restarting my console doesn't work. I play on xbox one. Does anyone know of a fix to this issue?

  • Hi @Marshal119 ,

There is a workaround that may help. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

“…workaround for you to try. Before you do this, you may want to contact anyone you’re game-sharing with and ask them to make sure they don’t have your Xbox One set as their home console - just in case this makes them lose access to your shared game.”

    1. Open the Settings menu on your Xbox One.
    2. Choose Personalization.
    3. Select My Home Xbox.
    4. Change the setting here to Not Home Xbox.
    5. Restart your console to apply the change.
    6. Launch Battlefield V again using the game disc to check that you can play without trial messages..
    7. Once that’s confirmed, you should be able to exit the game then go back and set your Xbox as your Home Xbox again.

@uncensorious I just got done trying this.It still gives me the message "Upgrade Now This content is not available to you as a BF5 trial player. If you want to get access to this content you need to upgrade the game. And then takes me to a screen where I can buy the game.
