Unable to connect to EA Online for Battlefield V on XBox One

I'm having a connection issue with my sons Battlefield V game for XBox One.  I bought the game for myself about a month ago and have no issues getting online with my own console, so I know it's not our internet provider or the speed or whatever.  His console is able to play other online games with no issues whatsoever and he's also got a hard line connection, no WiFi, but for some reason he can't seem to get Battlefield online.  Mind you he has a child Account, but I took all the restrictions off so he could play this game.  I'm looking for help, but keep running into dead ends.  What else is there left to do?

No.  It didn't help.  I'm wondering if it has to do with my son's EA Account.  I don't even know how to go about checking it.

  • Hello again @XDragonz43 ,

Did you try to designate your son's Xbox as your home Xbox? And remove your Xbox as your home Xbox? Then he should be able to use your Xbox Live Gold subscription on his console under his account.

    Xbox.com: Designate a home Xbox

"You can change your home Xbox up to five times in any one-year period. If you reach your limit for the year, we’ll show you the next available date you can change it."

“Designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

    1. Press the Xbox button (on your controller) to open the guide.

    2. Select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

    3. Do either of the following:

Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

Select Remove this as my home Xbox to remove the designation.”

@uncensorious, yes we set his Xbox asthe home console, but nothing happened. He even signed into my Xbox to play Battlefield and it wouldn't let him connect. So it definitely has something to do with his EA account.

    Hi @XDragonz43

If your son is using a child account he would be restricted from accessing the online features in Battlefield V until he's of age. The date of birth on his account is what would determine that.

  • Thanks for the response.  Yeah, I kinda figured that's what it was.  What is the age he can start playing.  Is it 13?  Is that just for the EA Servers?
