Unplayable (low fps) GeForce GTX 970, i5 4690K

Just as the title says. I didn't have this kind of problems with BF 1 but in BF V my fps drops to 1. I know this is CPU heavy game but i didn't expect this.

I tried to reinstall my drivers, reinstall the game and to play on low settings. None of these worked and game runs the same on low and medium settings.

Windows 8.1 64-bit

There are two issues that really affect your performance 1. Your CPU is below the minimum required specs to run BF5 2. your RAM is at the minimum required spec.  The CPU is the most important part of this equation since BF5 is a hugely CPU intensive game and the low RAM just exacerbates the issues.  You can see how your CPU ranks against the minimum required CPU here:  http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6600K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-4690K

  • Your processor might be holding you back and also having 8gb of ram is also holding you back. i suggest getting 2x8gb and run it in dual channel this game likes to eat ram.
