I've not noticed this--I've had plenty of games where the American side was terrible. If the Japanese effectively defend A and F for a few minutes, the tickets even out very quickly. Often the dummy Americans just keep trying over and over again to take A while wasting time. Or half their team sits on the carriers shooting the AAs or sniping.
Basically, we got lucky on this one, but if they had better players, I can assure you, we would’ve lost the advantage less than a min.

Just won 385-0 as the Japanese. The Americans had very possible AA gun on the carriers manned the whole match.

'Underdog' isn't strictly a Japanese OR Wake Island thingy .
The Germans have disadvantages in some Maps , the Allies too .
Math also doesn't have a clue as to who's PTO or PewPew-minded .
Chance fills one side with Play A Game , the other with Fight A War .
None of this can ever be under ones control , except that 'quit' button .
ALL that does is worsen the issue , which they're not around to see . . .
The truth: the Underdog Wins often and come-from-behinds are frequent .
Unless you weren't there to see it .
