I've had the same problem many times .The worst being like you said, you go revive someone it picks up a drop gun ,and then if an enemy is on you (unluckely for me it always seems to be a sniper rifle i pick up ) and if i had the weapon i spawn with i could probably have dealt with him.But that's luck I spose.but the problem is very annoying .
I remember reading that they are aware of this and are looking into it.
@II__SUSHI__IIIt was supposed to have been addressed on a recent patch.. but here we are.
