Re: Will EA Sports College Football 25 be available on PS4 or Xbox One?

Yeh I woulda upgraded if Sony would have enough of there systems in our stores I read a article where the number of actual PlayStation 5 members is really low so don't release a game that people would still buy and play on a older Gen console bunch of crap 

It's a crock of crap bud don't feel bad because I have a PS4 and I can't play it like one of the only games I was gonna buy this yr but now I can't because I don't have a newer console well look how many people don't have it it's probably just like Madden anyways 

Considering that the PlayStation 4 came out in 2013, you have a perfectly good reason to upgrade this year!

Yeh you are right but still doesn't give a answer as to why the older consoles aren't getting when the PS4 user base is higher then the PS5 user base I seen a article where they posted there numbers so it is like 2 +2 =potato 

I feel the same way I was going to get it to but then I seen it’s not being made for Xbox one s the system I happened to own and I love my system I’m one of those ppl that don’t like to fork out money if it’s not necessary so getting a updated system not what I’m doing just to buy the 70 dollar game and play. If I’m in a mood to play football I’ll just play the madden 23 game I own lol

Of course the player base will be higher for PS4 considering that it is a 11 year old console that you can get for relatively cheap in the market. PS5 is just about to hit its 4th year mark. To be fair, you will start seeing more games do this since companies want their games to take on the capabilities of a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X.

Because the older consoles aren’t as strong and can’t handle the work load that the new consoles can, there is no reason to go into the past when we have had new generations for 4 years. This was the same thing with the Xbox 360 and PS3. They older generations aren’t as powerful and are harder to code for because alot of stuff has to be re textured or re coded so the game doesn’t crash or lag.

That is so sad. That also means I will not be playing EA instead I will be playing San Diego Studios 

I was actually looking forward to it. Had put $100 on my PS wallet, and was willing to go $50 higher for the Madden/NCAA Delux bundle. But to also have to she'll out another $400 on top of it in this economy for a new system, when mine works perfectly fine. And don't tell me it's storage, I have an 8TB external HD for PS4 attached so that isn't even an issue.

I understand that. But we are in year 2024. You can walk into a store like GameStop, Walmart, Target, etc. and find a PlayStation 5 on the shelves. There are many options to help pay by the month or bi-weekly if you aren't able to pay the full amount up front. That would be the only way you are able to play College Football 25. It is much easier for developers to work on one code for a video game rather than two and especially one that is more than a decade old.

College Football 25 is only playable on current generation platforms. Xbox One and PS4 are not supported, unfortunately.

Some of us can’t afford a new console?? So.now my son who is 11 has been waiting so long to play ncaa college football and your telling me he can’t play it because he has a ps4?? This is so wrong in so many ways 

If EA is making the game why are they making an Xbox version for Madden 25 they sure don't have enough time to make an Xbox One version for College 25 

it seems to me that they just want Xbox One players to forget about the college game and use Madden as their copping system and to force us to spend our money for a "better" version of the Xboxes so we can play one game that I can just copy on retro bowl college and make that our college game because of the lazy EA people that don't wanna make a Xbox version of College 25.
