4-2-5 depth chart

Why do I need a LOLB? My defense only requires 2.

If I ever add a 4-3 formation shouldnt it just take my next best off ball LB? Using the same logic the game does for FB's when you choose a playbook that doesnt require a FB. It just puts in your next best TE/Power Back.

  • @studbucket33 In all EA games in the past it has been the ROLB but it is such an unintuitive system. It works fine with sub lb for nickel but for 4-2-5, the base depth chart is still an issue.
  • I wish there was an option for the formations to show the positions instead of the numbers during play calls. At least then I could figure out what depth chart it's pulling from so I could set it more efficiently.

  • It's the most frustrating thing, that I don't know which players I'm playing with in a 4-2-5 defense. It's an easy fix, make the depth chart match the actual defense I'm using. There's no reason my rush end should be the starting end if my base defense is the 4-2-5. That's really stupid. If I want to stop the run and pick a play out of 4-2-5 package, rather than a nickel package, I can't do it, because the players that I want there to stop the run isn't there. It's extremely frustrating to have a 225 pound LB with his hand in the dirt trying to contain. You know how stupid that is? Fix the depth charts to match the actual base defenses OR you can just allow the game actual formation subs instead of the BS auto subs that works in theory, but does actually does not work.

Also wish madden and ncaa used position groups that match reality. Interior lineman, edge riusher, CB, safety, and off ball LB
